Day Care

Introduction

Our service provides day care and outreach services for people with disabilities. A comprehensive and structured programme of activities is accessed both within our main building in Harrow and within the local community from which the individual can choose. Each service will ultimately be negotiated with the individual, their family /carer and Social Worker.

The service is totally person-centred and offers an individualised tailored plans of support for potential service users to ensure that their needs are fully met. The approach of the service is to encourage a move towards greater degree of independence. The service is based in South Harrow.

One–To-One Activities

One to one Support can be offered and the package of support will be determined via the referrals and in consultation with the individual /family /career and the referring agency. Service users can be supported with any activity of leisure, educational or occupational nature under our personalisation programmes such as:

  • Cinema and theatre
  • Swimming
  • Horse Riding
  • Trampolining
  • Access to parks
  • Sporting events
  • Day trips and visits to places of interest
  • Leisure centres
  • Outdoor activities
  • Walking and sightseeing
  • Cultural visits including museums, art galleries etc.

Group Activities:

  • Access to IT/Computer skills
  • Music and Dance
  • Yoga
  • Gardening
  • Access to the Gym
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Cookery
  • Therapy
  • Playing games
